HARDIN COUNTY, IL (KFVS) - An Illinois state representative is urging residents to attend an upcoming hearing on Governor Rauner's planned closure of the Hardin County work camp.
Rep. Brandon Phelps has also been collecting petition signatures in support of saving the camp.
The hearing will be hosted by the Commission on Government Forecasting and Accountability and will have time for residents and affected stakeholders to provide testimony about their concerns regarding the planned closure.
The event is scheduled for Monday, July 20 at 2 p.m. at the Hardin County High School at RR2, Elizabethtown, Ill.
