SMITHLAND, KY (KFVS) - An osprey created quite a spectacle on the deck of the US 60 Cumberland River Bridge at Smithland on Monday morning.
According to the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet someone picked up the bird and placed it on the curb out of traffic flow around 6:45 a.m.
A biologist was called into determine if the bird was injured.
The transportation cabinet reports the osprey appeared to be alert and was making warning sounds whenever anyone would approach it.
The bird was removed from the area by 9:30 a.m.
