Missing mental health patient found in Anna, IL

ANNA, IL (KFVS) -

The Union County Sheriff’s Department says the patient that went missing from an Anna, Il. mental health facility late Saturday evening has been found.

Officials say 56-year-old Willie Conway was found along Old Saratoga Road in Anna, Il.

Conway went missing from Choate Mental Health and Development Center in Anna, Illinois.

Willie Conway had last been seen around 9 p.m. on Saturday July 11 before he went missing, according to Deputy Larry Clover with the Union County Sheriff’s Department.

Conway did not have any immediate medical needs and was not considered to be a danger to the public.

Deputy Clover said hospital officials report this isn’t the first time Conway has walked off, but never for this long.

Conway is a ward of the state and does not have family in the area, Clover said.
