MARSHALL COUNTY, KY (KFVS) -

A Marshall County, Kentucky man is accused of terroristic threatening for comments he made to school employees and a county official.

Robert Nord, 69, of Benton, was charged with third degree terroristic threatening.

According to the Marshall County Sheriff's Office, they received a complaint from a Marshall County school employee at the new middle school construction site on the morning of Thursday, July 9.

According to deputies, at about 8:17 a.m. a neighbor to the construction site called the school employee and made comments that made the employees feel threatened.

They say a second call was made to a county official making the same comments.

Deputies say due to these concerns, work on the project was stopped.

A warrant was issued and served later in the day.

Nord was taken to the Marshall County Detention Center.
