The McCracken County Sheriff's Department is searching for a suspect after thousands of dollars worth of stolen items were recovered at a home in Paducah, Ky.

The person of interest is Paducah resident Michael S. Wright. The sheriff's department believes the 23-year-old was involved in a home burglary.

According to the sheriff's department, investigators were called to a home on Old Mayfield Road in reference to the incident on Thursday evening.

During the investigation that lasted through the night, the sheriff's department reports detectives identified Justin Ellis as a suspect in the case.

Detectives determined Ellis was hiding out at a home on South 6th Street where he might have stashed some of the stolen property.

After hours of surveillance, deputies entered the house and found Ellis hiding inside of a closet along with numerous stolen firearms that had been removed from the home on Old Mayfield Road.

The sheriff's department reports investigators also found stolen electronics, firearms, and other numerous valuables all taken from the home on Old Mayfield Road.

According to the sheriff's department, Ellis was taken into custody and later admitted to being a participant in the home burglary.

Further investigation showed that Wright may also be involved in the burglary.

Detectives report that Wright typically frequents the Elmwood Court Apartments and the SDS Apartments.

Wright has prior burglary and drug related charges, and is currently wanted for an additional burglary charge.

If you have any information about where Wright might be located, you are asked to call the sheriff's department.

The sheriff's department reports Ellis is facing charges stemming from the burglary incident and a warrant related to outstanding drug related charges. He is being held at the McCracken County Regional Jail.
