Man dies in four wheeler crash in White County, IL

WHITE COUNTY, IL (KFVS) - A 25-year-old man died after a four wheeler crash in White County, Illinois on Wednesday, July 9.

According to Illinois State Police, at around 11:20 a.m. Aaron Allen Elliott, of Grayville, Ill., as driving a green Polaris Sportsman four wheeler westbound on White County Road 2500N (county line road), less than a mile west of White County Road 1600E, when he put his four wheeler in reverse and began backing eastbound on County Road 2500N.

While in reverse, police say Elliott tried to turn the four wheeler, causing it to overturn. As the four wheeler overturned, they say Elliott fell backwards onto the road.

According to police, he was not wearing a helmet.

Police say while in an ambulance on the way to an area hospital, Elliott was pronounced dead.

ISP were assisted at the scene by the Grayville Police Department and White County Ambulance Service. A reconstruction team was also assigned to the investigation.
