Current River State Park offers kayak clinics

SALEM, MO (KFVS) -

Free kayak clinics will be hosted at Current River State Park during July and August.

The clinics will start at 10 a.m. and will last until 12 p.m. The clinics are sponsored by Missouri State Parks and are targeted towards visitors wanting to learn the basics of kayaking. 

The clinics held on Fridays begin on July 10 and conclude Friday, Aug. 14 and will be taught on the park's lower lake. Kayaks will be provided, but participants may bring their own.

The clinics will be taught by professional kayak instructors, and class size is limited to 10. Participants must preregister by calling the park at 573-858-3015.
