MISSOURI (KFVS) - If your child participates in the free or reduced lunch program at school, they can also get free meals this summer.
The Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services offers an online map that will show you where the meals are being served.
Community organizations serve the meals at schools, churches, parks, swimming pools, YMCA facilities, Boys and Girls Clubs, and other spots where kids hang out during the summer months.
The meals are provided for children 18 years and under. They're also offered to people aged 18-21 who have been determined by a state or local educational agency to be mentally or physically disabled and who participate in an established school program for the mentally and physically disabled.
Children do not have to register and there is no cost to participate.
The map can be found at www.dhss.mo.gov/sfsp.
