Marion man accused of having stolen gun

JACKSON COUNTY, IL (KFVS) -

A Marion, Illinois man is accused of having a stolen gun.

Labrad Petty, 25, was charged with unlawful use of a firearm and possession of a stolen firearm.

According to Carbondale police, on July 1 at 12:18 a.m., officers pulled over a vehicle in the 500 block of East Walnut Street for an equipment violation.

During the investigation, police searched and say they found two guns in the vehicle, one of which was allegedly stolen.

Petty was arrested and taken to the Jackson County Jail.
