This week in music: 1980

(KFVS) - Let's open our jukebox of memories on this Wednesday morning and see what was playing on the radio and boom boxes 35 years ago.

These were the songs atop the Billboard Hot 100 this week in 1980.

At number five was Bob Seger and the Silver Bullet Band with the title song from their album "Against the Wind."

Billy Joel was holding down the number four spot with "It's Still Rock and Roll to Me."

At number three the title song from the movie "The Rose" by Bette Midler.

In the number two spot was one of the most played songs of the summer, "Funkytown" by Lipps Inc.

And in a very a rare chart feat, a live version of a song was in the top spot. Paul McCartney and Wings performed "Coming Up" before an audience in Glasgow, Scotland. It was McCartney's last number one hit with his group Wings.
