JACKSON COUNTY, IL (KFVS) - A Carbondale man was sentenced to two years behind bars for unlawful possession of a controlled substance.
Charles Thomas, 22, of Carbondale was sentenced in Jackson County Circuit Court on June 22, 2015 to two years in the Illinois Department of Corrections.
Thomas was arrested on Oct. 3, 2013 for outstanding warrants.
Before his arrest, officers found him in possession of a baggie of cocaine, according to Jackson County State's Attorney Michael C. Carr.
Thomas was originally placed on probation with various terms and conditions. He failed to comply with those terms and conditions. His probation was revoked and was sentenced to two years in the IDOC.
