Driver taken by ambulance after tractor-trailer overturns in Scott County

SCOTT COUNTY, MO (KFVS) - A tractor-trailer accident sent the driver to the hospital and shut down Highway N in Scott County on Sunday.

It happened just after 3 p.m. on Highway N in the 8300 block.

The driver lost control of the truck and overturned.

Grain was spilled out on the ground and the man was attended by neighbors and fire fighters in the area.

Once paramedics got on scene, they lifted the driver on a stretcher and is taking him by ambulance to St. Francis Medical Center in Cape.

Missouri Highway Patrol and Scott County Sheriff's Department are investigating and had the road shut down while they get the truck towed.

It is unknown at this time the extent of the drivers injuries.

However, officials say he was smiling when paramedics put him on the stretcher.
