Police: Woman in custody after Kennett stabbing

KENNETT, MO (KFVS) - The Kennett Police Department is looking for a man after a stabbing.

The police department reports it got a call around 7 p.m. on Thursday in reference to a person being stabbed at the Huck's gas station.

According to the Kennett Police Department, it all started after a disturbance between the victim and two other people.

The police department reports a male subject attempted to punch the victim. The male subject's girlfriend then stepped in, and cut the victim's wrist with a knife.

After an investigation, officers arrested 19-year-old Lindsay M. Martin, a resident of Piggott, Ar. for her involvement in the incident.

Martin is facing first degree assault charges.

She is being held at the Dunklin County Jail.

The Kennett Police Department is still searching for the male subject involved in the disturbance. 

The victim only suffered minor injuries and is expected to be okay.
