RISCO, MO (KFVS) - The owner of a New Madrid County business says it's a miracle no one got hurt after a semi truck slammed into her restaurant.

It all happened on Tuesday over the lunch hour at Cotton Pickin' BBQ in Risco.

According to the owner, Debbie Patterson, a semi clipped another semi on highway 62 and veered into her restaurant.

Patterson says there is quite a bit of damage, but she is so thankful that no one was hurt.

The truck hit a part of the restaurant that is typically used for parties or large groups, but was empty at the time.

Cotton Pickin' BBQ opened three years ago.

The incident has not affected business, and they are still open today.

An insurance adjuster is expected to come out later today to determine just how much damage the 18-wheeler caused.
