Good news for postal workers in Cape Girardeau, Missouri on Monday, June 22.
The president of the local postal union said the plan to close the processing plant has been canceled.
Greg Davidson sent us a copy of the announcement letter he received on Monday, but he admitted, unless they get full operations back, our mail won't move any faster than it is now.
He said they will continue pushing to bring back overnight delivery to southeast Missouri.
A USPS spokesman confirmed they are extending the term for some mail sorting operations in the Cape Girardeau facility.
