PADUCAH, KY (KFVS) - Runners participating in the Lourdes Paducah Iron Mom Half-Marathon helped raise $38,000 for the Family Service Society.
That's $3,000 more than last year's race.
A total of 836 runners from more than a dozen states raced on Mother's Day weekend.
“This year's event was another great success,” said Pam Truitt, Executive Director of Family Services. “We are truly grateful to Lourdes Hospital and their support of this event that not only helps individuals get active and healthy but also provides resources to local families.”
Family Service Society provides assistance with food, clothing, medications, dental services and utilities to residents of McCracken County.
