CAPE GIRARDEAU, MO (KFVS) - Ameren Missouri took delivery of their new $1 million control house on Wednesday, June 17.
The control house is at the Heritage Substation, under construction west of Cape Girardeau along State Highway K.
Weighing in at more than 100,000 pounds, the control house will manage the operations of the substation's circuit breakers and electrical lines.
Work began last December on the Heritage Substation, which stands on 11 acres between Cape Girardeau and Gordonville.
The project is slated to be complete in April, 2016, at a cost of $80 million.
