PADUCAH, KY (KFVS) - Paducah Police arrested a man with counterfeit money and drugs yesterday afternoon after responding to a disturbance in the parking lot of a local hotel.

When Officer Josh Bryant arrived, a woman told him she had met Jasmin Veljacic, 20, of Paducah, on the parking lot for the purpose of performing an erotic dance for him.

Prior to doing so, Veljacic had given her four twenty dollar bills that appeared to be fake.

The woman also stated Veljacic had shown her a bag containing drugs.

Officer Bryant examined the money and could tell it was counterfeit.

Officer spoke with Veljacic who told them he had thrown a baggie out of his car window while he was driving around the parking lot.

Officers located a baggie of methamphetamine on the parking lot and two more twenty dollar bills.

Veljacic was charged with criminal possession of a forged instrument, possession of a controlled substance, and tampering with physical evidence.

Veljacic was arrested and booked into McCracken County Regional Jail.
