MO man seriously injured in crash

NEW MADRID COUNTY, MO (KFVS) -  A Gideon, Mo. man is seriously injured after the car he was driving Sunday around 6:45 p.m. crashes.

According to the Missouri Highway Patrol, 29-year-old Christopher C. Lee was driving a Chevrolet Malibu on Route J just south of U.S. 62 in New Madrid County when the car went off of the right side of the road.

Troopers say Lee over corrected causing the car to go off the left side of the road, it then hit an embankment, and that caused the car to become airborne and to flip.

After that, Lee was thrown from the car,

Troopers say he was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.

Lee was taken by ambulance to a hospital in Dexter with serious injuries.
