CAPE GIRARDEAU, MO (KFVS) -

According to Sergeant Rick Schmidt with the Cape Girardeau Police Department, the second suspect in Saturday's armed robbery is now in custody.

Police have arrested Sumner Kyle Foster, 19, and Tarrington Lareese Marks, 20, both of Cape Girardeau, in connection to that armed robbery.

Police arrested Marks yesterday and were searching for the second suspect after the armed robbery was reported.

Schmidt says they got a call at 5:41 p.m. that two suspects robbed a person near the intersection of Independence and Main streets.

Police responded and saw two black males running from the area.

Officers searched the area along Spanish, Main and Broadway for the two men.

Marks was found hiding under a porch near the intersection of Broadway and Spanish. He was arrested.

The victim was shaken and lightheaded after the alleged robbery.

Police say the two suspects had a handgun and took the victim's wallet and its contents.

Police say the suspect they were looking for ran away northwest of the area from Broadway and Spanish Street.

He was reported to be carrying a handgun.

Police say both suspects and the victim know each other.

Both Foster and Marks are being charged with robbery and armed criminal action, with bond set at $50,000 cash only each.
