PERRYVILLE, MO (KFVS) - Nearly 10,000 people showed up to the 30th annual Robinson Construction German Mayfest Celebration on Saturday in Perryville, Missouri.

Organizers say it's great to see so many people come out to this event.

The four day event brings a lot of sales to area stores and helps the revenue with the city, organizers say.

Craft vendors joined the event on Saturday and were among about 150 vendors.  One vendor says she makes all of her money through events like these.

Kaitlin Bockman, owner of Brady's Collars, is a full time student in college and depends on her sales to help get her through school.

Several events were on hand at Mayfest including a pretzel eating contest. The winner was awarded a $250 cash prize for Mary Jane's Burgers and Brews in Perryville.

Down the street from the Mayfest downtown, nearly 50 cars and motorcycles were on display anywhere from antique 1900-1940s cars to race cars in the 22nd Annual Mayfest Car, Truck and Bike Show.

Around 800 people showed their support and came out to the event.

Trophies were awarded to the top three in each class.
