Commission OKs sales tax holiday in Cape Girardeau

CAPE GIRARDEAU, MO (KFVS) -

The Cape Girardeau County Commission says it has unanimously agreed to participate in the Missouri Sales Tax Holiday.

It runs from August 7-9, 2015.

The sales tax holiday during a three-day period beginning at 12:01 a.m. on the first Friday in August and ending at midnight on the following Sunday.

Back-to-school purchases like clothing, school supplies, computers, and other items are exempt from sales tax for this time period only.
