DEXTER, MO (KFVS) -

The Stoddard County Sheriff's Office says three people from Poplar Bluff, Missouri are facing heroin-related charges.

William D. Obarr, 27, Shannon M. Obarr, 30 and Amy R. Dennis, 26, all of Poplar Bluff, Missouri faces charges of possession of a controlled substance.

According to Sheriff Carl Hefner, on May 6, deputies noticed a vehicle sitting on the parking lot of Brown Construction Company just west of Dexter. A man and woman were outside the vehicle walking around.

As the deputies approached the vehicle the subjects got into their vehicle and started to drive off.

Because of prior burglaries reported in that area in the past, deputies approached the vehicle to see why it was sitting there.

A man and two women said they were coming from Chicago and they were switching drivers.

Deputies learned they had no identification on them and gave the deputies false information.

As the investigation continued it was learned that all three had active warrants out of Poplar Bluff.

After given permission to search the vehicle, deputies found around 9 grams of heroin in a plastic bag.

They were taken to the Stoddard County Jail. Bond set at $75,000 cash only.
