Top 5 songs from this week in 1964

(KFVS) -

Let's take a music trip down memory lane. Fifty one years ago, in 1964, these were the songs playing on the radio.

At number 5 on Billboard Magazine's Hot 100 were The Beatles with "Can't Buy Me Love."

In the number 4 spot, "Bits and Pieces" by the Dave Clark Five.

Coming in at number 3 was a song that made Mary Wells the first female star at Motown.

"My Guy" was also the biggest hit of her career.

Another Beatles hit was in the number 2 spot. Paul McCartney and John Lennon wrote it and George Harrison sang "Do You Want to Know a Secret."

The number 1 song in the land was "Hello Dolly" by jazz legend Louis Armstrong, a song from the Broadway musical of the same name. Armstrong's version was placed in the Grammy Hall of Fame in 2001.
