Man shot in Charleston recovering in St. Louis hospital

CHARLESTON, MO (KFVS) -

A 20-year-old man is expected to be OK after a shooting in Charleston, Missouri.

According to Charleston Department of Public Safety Director Robert Hearnes, a call for shots fired came in just before midnight on Monday.

Officers found a 20-year-old Charleston man shot at the intersection of Heggie and Lafayette streets.

He was taken to a local hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.

Hearnes says there are no suspects and no arrests have been made.

Chief Hearnes confirms the man was shot several times. They do have an officer in St. Louis interviewing the victim for more information on Thursday.
