GRAVES COUNTY, KY (KFVS) -

The Mayfield-Graves County Area Technology Center electricity program recently accepted a donation of tools.

The donation of Klein Tools came from Klein, Hannan Supply Company of Paducah, the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers AFL-CIO Local Union 816, and the National Electrical Contractors Association.

Pictured here, from left, are IBEW construction membership development representative Chad Rennison, Graves High and ATC student Logan Waggoner, ATC electricity teacher Joel Crider, Graves High and ATC student Brandon Willingham, and Jarrod Shadowen, training director of the Paducah Electrical Joint Apprenticeship and Training Committee, a collaborative project of the IBEW and the NECA.

“We are very grateful to these men and their organizations for their investment in our students, many of whom will be their colleagues in the near future,” said Mayfield-Graves County ATC principal Mike Miller. “We also thank Chad and Jarrod for taking time to share career advice with our classes. In doing that, these professionals help these students focus more clearly on their own career goals and requirements. That makes a real difference in young lives.”
