Chicago man indicted in Williamson Co. drug conspiracy

WILLIAMSON COUNTY, IL (KFVS) - A Chicago man was charged in a Williamson County drug conspiracy.

David T. "Gun" Walls, 36, of Chicago was charged by indictment with conspiracy to distribute crack cocaine and heroin, according to the United States Attorney for the Southern District of Illinois, Stephen R. Wigginton.

Wigginton says it happened between 2012 and October 2014, in Williamson County. 

Walls was arrested in northern Illinois on March 26. He made his initial appearance in federal court in Benton on April 21. He is being held with bond pending an April 27 bond hearing.

The ongoing investigation is being conducted by the Southern Illinois Enforcement Group. The Drug Enforcement Administration and Williamson County State's Attorney's Office assisted in the investigation.
