Heartland Headlines Update for Thursday, April 23, 2015

(KFVS) -  Here are several stories the Heartland will be talking about today:

1. Warming Up with the Sun: Meteorologist Brian Alworth says while some of us may have seen patches of frost, the forecast shows things should warm up enough to shake the chill off with highs in the 60's. Still, The First Alert Weather Team is tracking potential storms for Saturday.

2. Rand Paul's Son DUI: A son of U.S. Senator and Republican presidential candidate Rand Paul has been cited for driving under the influence. Lexington police say he backed into a parked car.

3. Search for Assault Suspect: Police are looking for Travis O'Barr who's accused of assaulting a Poplar Bluff, Missouri corrections officer in an attempt to help his girlfriend escape custody.


4. Bus Carrying Kentucky School Kids Catches Fire: A tour bus carrying 8th grade students home from a trip to Washington, D.C. to Oldham County, Kentucky caught fire early this morning in West Virginia.

5. Chilean Volcano Blows its Top: amazing pictures are coming in of the most recent eruption.
