SCOTT CITY, MO (KFVS) -

A Scott City, Missouri woman is accused of drugs and trespassing.

Jennifer M. Niswonger, 31, was charged with possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and trespassing in the second degree.

According to Scott County Sheriff Rick Walter, on Tuesday, April 21, a deputy responded to a field in the 8000 block of State Highway N outside of Scott City. The property owner reported a vehicle in his field.

Inside the vehicle, the deputy said he found identification belonging to Niswonger. He also allegedly saw, in plain view, a metal smoking pipe with a burnt residue inside that appeared to be used for smoking a controlled substance.

The deputy said the smoking pipe field tested positive for marijuana.

While the deputy was on scene, Niswonger came back to the vehicle.

She allegedly admitted to driving the vehicle and leaving it on the property, which did not belong to her.

Niswonger was arrested and taken to the Scott County Jail.

At the jail, Sheriff Walter said Niswonger admitted to having prescription pills in her wallet, which are controlled substances.

According to the sheriff, they were seized.

Niswonger was booked in the jail. Her bond was set at $500 cash only.
