What has your car been recalled for?

(KFVS) - More than half a million vehicles have been recalled across the United States in just the last 30 days.

The recalls affect vehicles made over a variety of vehicles as far back as 2005, and vary from doors that can come unlatched in crashes and sudden stops, to airbags not deploying. There's also new instances of faulty ignition switches, which is a problem that killed 13 people in 2014.
That particular recall encapsulated more than 800,000 vehicles produced by General Motors.

Residents in Marion say they're alright with hearing about recalls frequently, as long as they're taken seriously.

“It seems like people have to get in a car accident where their airbags aren't deployed before they even take action on it." said Marion resident David Sims, "that's where the problem is.”

“Always know that things don't always function perfectly," said Dodge enthusiast Janell Trout, "do a lot of research about your vehicle to find out what other problems other consumers have had. You may be surprised”

More than 62 million vehicles were recalled in the year 2014, which is twice as many as the previous record for national recalls set ten years earlier.
