Carbondale New School benefit rescheduled

COBDEN, IL (KFVS) -

The Carbondale New School benefit was rained out on Sunday.

Organizers say it now will be held on the announced rain date of Sunday, April 26, at Rustle Hill Winery at Cobden.

The music portion of the Festival is free and is expected to draw a sizeable audience, according to Amanda Sheridan, New School Director.

“The Festival is a major fund-raiser for Carbondale New School and the Winery's venue is perfect for music fans and families alike” Sheridan said. “We will have beverage and food sales, $10 wristbands for a variety of kids' activities that are always a big hit, $15 t-shirts while they last, and we expect school alumni will show up for a homecoming.”

All proceeds from the event go to support Carbondale New School which is a tuition-supported, not-for-profit school for student's pre-k to 8th grade.

It was founded by parents in 1974.
