5 Grandin teens injured in crash in Ripley County

RIPLEY COUNTY, MO (KFVS) -

Five Carter County teenagers were injured in a wreck in Ripley County late Friday night.

It happened around 11:15 p.m. on County Road O-2A, 1.2 miles north of Route O.

According to the Missouri Highway Patrol, four of the five Grandin, Missouri teens were taken by ambulance to a Poplar Bluff hospital. The 15-year-old driver was not taken by ambulance.

They all received minor injuries, according to the Patrol.

The Ford Explorer they were in ran off the right side of the road and hit a tree.

The Patrol says the occupants were not wearing seatbelts at the time of the wreck.

Ages of the occupants ranged from 14 to 18-years-old.

The vehicle had extensive damage, according to state troopers.
