Police asking for help identifying man in connection to stolen vehicle

PADUCAH, KY (KFVS) -

Paducah police say they are asking for the public's help in identifying a man who may have information about a stolen vehicle.

An officer was called shortly after 6 p.m. Thursday to Shelby's Wheel and Tire on Kentucky Avenue.

The victim was next door at Michael's Pizza, viewing surveillance video.

He told the officer that he had arrived at work at Shelby's at 7:45 a.m. and parked in the back of the business. When he got off work, he found his car was missing.

Surveillance video showed a man around the car about 9:25 a.m.

He was described as white, with a white beard and a pony tail. He is tan, with several tattoos and was wearing a blue and white button-up shirt and blue jeans, a hat and sunglasses.

The victim's vehicle is a maroon 2007 Chevrolet Cobalt with a large dent behind the driver's side door.

The taillights are painted black. The car has Kentucky license 347-PWF.

Anyone with information about the man's identity or the location of the car is asked to call the Paducah Police Department at 270/444-8550 or Crime Stoppers at 443-TELL.
