Victim identified after deadly Poplar Bluff shooting

POPLAR BLUFF, MO (KFVS) - A Broseley man and a Poplar Bluff woman are facing murder charges after a deadly shooting in Poplar Bluff, Missouri.

Police identified the victim on Saturday as Donald Perry, 38, of Sedgewickville Missouri.

Poplar Bluff police responded to an apartment in the 500 block of Cynthia Street for a shooting at 5:52 a.m. on Friday, April 17.

Police arrested Walter L. Currie, Jr., 21, of Broseley after he was wanted in connection with the shooting. He was charged with second degree murder.

Patricia Bales, 24, of Poplar Bluff, was also arrested and charged with second degree murder, second degree assault, armed criminal action, tampering with physical evidence and unlawful possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

Police say Perry had been shot several times. He was taken to Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center for treatment. He later died.
