PADUCAH, KY (KFVS) -

Police say a teen charged in connection with the Valentine's Day shooting of a Paducah man turned himself in Thursday afternoon.

According to Paducah police, Kiante Vaughn, 18, of Paducah, turned himself in at the U.S. Marshals' office in the Federal Courthouse downtown.

He was released to detectives with the Paducah Police Department.

Police say Vaughn was arrested on a warrant charging him with first-degree assault.

Det. Chris Baxter said the teen is accused of shooting Johnny Harmon III about Feb. 14 outside of The Brickhouse, 901 Boyd Street.

Harmon received non-life-threatening injuries in the shooting, police said.

Baxter said U.S. Marshals have been assisting in trying to find Vaughn since the shooting.

Vaughn was interviewed and booked into McCracken County Regional Jail.
