Crews on scene of house fire in Perry County

PERRY COUNTY, MO (KFVS) -  Firefighters are on the scene of a house fire in Perry County, Missouri.

Dispatchers called out crews around 3:00 a.m. to the home on County Road 400 just south of Longtown.

A driver on U.S. 61 reported the fire after seeing the flames shooting into the sky from a distance.

When crews from Frohna-Augsburg and Biehle Community fire departments arrived, they say flames were shooting out every window and up through the roof of the house.

Firefighters say no one was living in the home at the time, because it was under construction.

It is considered a total loss.

A vehicle in a garage attached to the house was also destroyed.
