7 arrested in White Co., IL drug operation

WHITE COUNTY, IL (KFVS) -

Seven people were arrested early Tuesday morning as part of a months-long drug operation in White County, IL.

According to the sheriff's department, "Whiteout" is an operation targeting drug problems in the county and Tuesday, seven arrest warrants were issued because of the program.

Nathan E. Egbert, 31, of Carmi, was arrested on two counts of delivery of methamphetamine.

Daniel R. Mason, 38, of Carmi, was arrested on charges of unlawful delivery of meth.

Forty-six-year-old Timothy W. Buchanan of Carmi was arrested and is facing charges of delivery of a controlled substance.

Merle A. Bartley, 42, of Carmi was arrested on charges of delivery of a controlled substance.

Fifty-eight-year-old Eddie L. Mercer of Carmi was arrested on charges of delivery of a controlled substance and delivery of cannabis. Mercer was also charged with unlawful possession of cannabis.

Dustin S. Pauls, 29, of Carmi, was arrested and is facing charges of unlawful delivery of cannabis, unlawful possession of cannabis over 200 grams and unlawful possession of controlled substance.

Michelle L. Bartley, 37, of Carmi, was arrested on charges of delivery of a controlled substance.

The sheriff's department was assisted by the Carmi Police Department, Illinois State Police and the Southern Illinois Drug Task Force.
