Marshall County escapees caught after week on the run

BENTON, KY (KFVS) - The two remaining Marshall County jail escapees are now back in custody after a week on the run.  

The Kentucky State Police found Travis Bonapfel and Jeremiah Nicholas late Friday in the community of Hardin, Kentucky.  

A third escapee, Gage Jobe, turned himself in earlier in the week.

The trio escaped from the Marshall County Detention Center on Friday, April 3.

Travis Bonapfel is now facing escape and parole violation charges.  Jeremiah Nicholas is charged with escape, 2nd degree.  

They are both back in the Marshall County Detention Center and being held without bond.

Police say they the escapees may have walked away from the detention center in Benton, Kentucky. 

Bonapfel of Campbell County, was serving a sentence for trafficking heroin and other controlled substances.  

Nicholas was convicted of burglary and unlawful possession of meth in Calloway and Marshall Counties.  

Jobe was convicted of stealing having stolen property and wanton endangerment in Marshall County.

Kentucky State Police is still investigating the escape.
