    An EF-1 tornado ripped through the center of Potosi on Wednesday. That is according to preliminary reports from the National Weather Service in St. Louis, Missouri.

CAPE GIRARDEAU COUNTY, MO (KFVS) - The National Weather Service confirmed two tornadoes Thursday night in Cape Girardeau County.

An EF-0 hit a half mile northwest of Daisy at 9:15 p.m. It traveled east for two miles and had peak winds of 75 miles per hour. The tornado downed numerous trees and limbs.

An EF-0 hit three miles west of Jackson just south of Hwy. 72 at 9:33 p.m. It traveled east for 1.7 miles. The tornado had peak winds of 85 miles per hour.

About a dozen homes lost shingles with minor damage to gutters. One home had a broken window after it was hit by a shingle. Several smaller trees and tree limbs were downed.
