JACKSON, MO (KFVS) - The city of Jackson, Missouri will have a new mayor.
Dwain Hahs beat out long-time incumbent Barbara Lohr, according to unofficial final results.
"I am certainly excited about having the voters put their trust in me," Hahs said. He called the win, "humbling."
On her loss, Lohr said, "I think the voters have spoken...I think that I have served well. I'll try to make it a good transition."
Lohr said she will not seek another city position, but will continue to serve the Jackson community as a volunteer.
She says she is honored to serve as long as she did.
Hahs got 70 percent with 1,536 and Lohr got 30 percent with 671, all precincts reporting.
