The postseason honors continue for Murray State. Friday, April 3rd, Cameron Payne was been named the Lute Olson Player of the Year. The award is presented annually to the nation's top Division I player who has played at least two seasons. Payne had an outstanding sophomore season.. The Racer point guard averaged over 20 points and 5-assists per game and was named Ohio Valley Conference player of the year. He beat players such as AP Player of the year Frank Kaminsky from Wisconsin and Kentucky's Willie Cauley-Stein for the award.
