Carbondale man facing charges after fight at apartment

A Carbondale man is facing battery charges according to the state's attorney.

It stems from incident in Carbondale, Illinois on January 31, the state's attorney for Jackson County, Michael C. Carr said.

The state's attorney says Jordan Poole, 23, of Carbondale, is accused of harming Marc Rodgers after allegedly hitting Rodgers in the head and face with his fist.

Poole faces felony aggravated battery charges.

The incident is alleged to have happened at an apartment in Carbondale.

Poole made his first court appearance on February 3, and was released on a $10,000 bond. He was scheduled to appear on Feb. 19.

However, his preliminary hearing was continued to March 13, 2015, at 9 a.m. in Jackson County Circuit Court.
