FRANKFORT, KY (KFVS) -
Kentucky State Police found an unusual stash of stolen property during a recent interstate stop - $360,000 worth of stolen baby formula.Commercial Vehicle Enforcement officers stopped a tractor trailer at the Kentucky/Tennessee line on February 12, 2015.
A random vehicle inspection turned up the cargo, but not the proper paperwork.
An officer at the scene contacted state investigators, who found out the baby formula was stolen on February 3 from Fayette County Ohio.
Officers took custody of the expensive shipment and say the victims of the theft have been notified. The investigation is continuing at this time by The Kentucky State Police Vehicle Investigations Branch, KSP Commercial Vehicle Enforcement Division and the Fayette County Ohio Sheriff's Office.
