CARBONDALE, IL (KFVS) - The 63rd annual Agricultural banquet will be held at Southern Illinois University.

Southern Illinois University Carbondale will host the annual agricultural banquet honoring students, faculty, and others Feb. 27 at 6 p.m. in the Student Center Ballroom.

This year's presentation will honor student awards for outstanding junior students, outstanding seniors and registered student organizations. Student nominations, recommendations, and student votes collaborate and grant faculty and staff a chance in achieving the two major awards which are the Donald M. Elkins Excellence award and the Gary L. Minish Outstanding Adviser/Mentor award. The two awards reward faculty or staff members who show outstanding dedication to education and mentoring.

The public and university community are welcome. Tickets are $15 for non-students, $10 for students and $5 for freshman students. For ticket information, call 618/453-2469.
