2 East Prairie residents facing drug related charges

EAST PRAIRIE, MO (KFVS) - Two Mississippi County residents are facing charges after a search warrant was served at their East Prairie, Missouri home.

According to the sheriff's office the search turned up evidence of narcotics distribution.

Dale Michael Crump, Junior, 33, and Doris Jean Stalnacker, 45, were both charged with possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute, a class b felony punishable upon conviction by not less than five years and up to 15 years in the department of corrections.

Crump and Stalnacker face additional charges of possession of a controlled substance and receiving stolen property valued at less than $500.

According to Mississippi County Sheriff Keith Moore, the investigation began after a tip concerning number of recent burglaries.

The search warrant was served early Friday morning.

The sheriff's deputies and the sheriff found a large amount of narcotics packaged for resale and stolen property in connection with at least two recent burglaries.

Both Crump and Stalnacker were taken to the Mississippi County Detention Center with their bonds set at $50,000 each.
