Overnight fire totals car in Cape Girardeau

CAPE GIRARDEAU, MO (KFVS) -

A parked car in Cape Girardeau is a total loss after an overnight fire, according to Sgt. Rick Schmidt with the Cape Girardeau Police Department.

Schmidt says the car was parked on Amblewood Drive just south of Lexington Avenue at the time the fire started.

The front end of the car burned completely off, according to Schmidt.

There were no injuries reported.

Cape Girardeau fire fighters responded and fire investigators were on the scene, but there was no indication of foul play, Schmidt said.

The cause of the fire is unknown right now.
