Carbondale man facing multiple drug charges

CARBONDALE, IL (KFVS) -

A Kankakee, Illinois man is facing multiple drug charges.

Clifton Johnson, 33, was charged with possession of a controlled substance over 30 grams and manufacture/deliver of a controlled substance 15-100 grams. He was taken to the Jackson County Jail.

According to Carbondale police, on Jan. 3 they responded to the 700 block of South Lewis Lane in reference to a report of a disturbance.

Police responded to the area, stopped a suspect vehicle leaving the area and identified the driver as Johnson.

During the investigation, police determined that Johnson was in possession of a controlled substance.

Police say the investigation is ongoing.
