2 accused of stealing excavator from New Madrid Co. cemetery

NEW MADRID COUNTY, MO (KFVS) -

The New Madrid County Sheriff's Department says two men are facing charges in connection to a stolen excavator.

Rusty and Dusty Baker are accused of taking it.

According to deputies, the excavator was stolen from the Mounds Park Cemetery.

They say it was dropped off on Monday morning, Jan. 5 to be used to dig a grave. When the employees returned a couple of hours later to dig, they say the excavator was gone.

Deputies say it was taken some time before noon.
