MO electric outage affects nearly 700 customers

A blown over tree limb is to blame for a power outage in Missouri on Sunday.

It is believed that wind sent a tree limb into a power line west of Ellsinore, Missouri, according to Ozark Border Electric Cooperative spokesperson Stanley Estes.

Estes says 695 customers were out of power at around 3 p.m.

Estes says that it took about two hours to find the location and fix the issue. Crews were able to bring power back by around 5 p.m.

Estes says  that customers he talked with said they were appreciative of the quick restoring of power, considering the weather was cold.

It is determined the outage happened between Ellsinore and the junction of Highway 21 and Highway 60.
