Man facing charges after fight at southern Illinois bar

JACKSON COUNTY, IL (KFVS) -

A sheriff's office says a man is facing charges after a brawl at a bar overnight in Jackson County, Illinois.

According to the sheriff's office, it happened on  Sunday, Jan 4, at 3:42 a.m.

A Jackson County deputy witnessed a disturbance on the parking lot of VanZandt's Tavern, 101 Union Ave. in Dowell.

Tony Feggins had grabbed money from two different men inside the bar. When confronted, Feggins hit a  man in the face, causing a minor cut, according to the sheriff's office.

Feggins then got into a vehicle and left the parking lot. Witnesses were able to identify the vehicle and deputies managed to stop it. He was later identified by witnesses. 

Feggins was taken to the Jackson County Jail and faces charges of aggravated battery and robbery.
